buddhaTaste the tradition… Café Lotus serves up a refreshingly different dining experience. Surinder “Pal” Sroa and his son Jyoti Sroa, founders and proprietors of the award-winning Lotus Cuisine of India in San Rafael, are also the driving force behind Cafe Lotus in Fairfax.

Our Organic Indian Cafe in the heart of Fairfax is a unique oasis by where you can take the culinary road less traveled. Here, you’ll find authentic, home-style Northern Indian cuisine prepared with organic local ingredients and fresh spices, many of which Surinder imports directly from India…all beautifully presented in a casual, friendly atmosphere.

Outdoor Dining

Testimonials
“Finally, a top-quality Indian restaurant expertly preparing and serving a significant selection of vegan cafedishes. I’m in love! Jon C., Sonoma

The people that own this place are so nice! If you eat meat, the Butter Chicken was something that we enjoyed. Everything is pretty delicious. – Best M. San Francisco, CA (Yelp)

Eating together with those we love, eating nutritious food that has been prepared with love – this can nourish our inner needs, as well as our bodies. Taking time at meals to talk to each other and enjoy the meal as a shared sacrament is rare today. We need to slow down, take time to prepare nutritious meals and rearrange our schedules so that we can be together.”

Proper Indian cooking uses spices not just for good taste, but for their inherent health benefits and to balance the diet.
