“Exquisite flavors of India shine” at this Bay Area trio offering “authentic”, “perfectly seasoned” dishes, including “lots of gluten-free options”, all at “reasonable” prices; diners “love the retractable roof” at the San Rafael original and the “convivial” atmosphere at its not-too-distant sibling (both also have “tasty lunch buffets”), while the cafe is pegged as a “hole-in-the-wall”, but all boast generally “friendly, helpful” service.

So, here we are, not even two weeks into 2008, and I’m already whining about New Year’s resolutions. Rather than make a list of New Year’s resolution

great little Indian restaurant in downtown Fairfax. Grab some organin Indian delicacies either in the store or on their website. Divine!

Authentic Indian
I used to live upstairs from this place, aka it was a 24-7 draft of curry powder and tamarind circulating through my apartment. Despite the sometimes offensive stench, I always found the cuisine spicy, succulent, and satisfying.

My wife and I have been traveling for a while (each to different parts of the world).  Eventually coming home was capped off by our return to Cafe Lotus.  Consistently great food, great service and welcoming, professional staff reminded us why we love to travel but always enjoy coming home.

I guess this place is really new, but happily lacking in the problems usually associated with that. To start off, the service was great!
